Having become interested in this years ago in the neuroscience infancy, I managed to read, study and study with some of the heavy-weights in this ever-growing field.<br /><br />When I was in school, we were taught that the brain did one thing after it was finished forming.....it died....i.e. it lost more brain cells and did not make new ones. We now find that it changes and we know why and how to effect those changes to benefit people.
